David will work with you to develop a design which meets your requirements and needs and then support the build and planting of your garden to deliver the outdoor space you have always dreamed of. Whether it is a new entertaining space with outdoor kitchen or a tranquil, immersive, wildlife haven, the design will be bespoke to you and your specific needs. You will be supported through the entire process.

This is a fully supported, multi stage process which you have complete control over:

Stage 1 - Outline Design Proposal - Using your brief, David will create a bespoke design concept for your garden and present it to you in an A3 presentation which will include a 2D plan, 3D CAD drawings, visual perspectives and mood boards to allow you to visualise your garden. There will be opportunities to provide feedback and adjust to meet your exact requirements and needs.

Stage 2 - Detailed Garden Design - Once you are happy with the Outline Design David will produce the detailed construction drawings and layouts and a planting scheme for your garden meeting your preferred aesthetic. Plants will be carefully selected to deliver the mood, atmosphere and colour scheme.

Stage 3 - Quotation & Build - The design drawings are designed to allow landscape contractors to accurately quote to build your garden. David will help you find qualified contractors and will work closely with you to ensure your garden meets your expectations. During the Build Phase, David’s role is to ensure your garden is built in line with the design and plans and provide an independent bridge between you your contractor. The end result is your dream garden.

Some of our clients decide to use their own local builders and the drawings are invaluable in explaining what is required to build your garden.

David will develop a planting design which meets your aesthetic, colour preferences, sustainability and maintenance needs. Cottage or prairie style, naturalistic or gravel garden, the possibilities are endless. David will help source the plants from well respected nurseries and ensure the design delivers on all levels. The planting design service can be a quick, easy and cost effective way to enhance your existing garden bringing delight and joy.

Once again, this is a fully supported process where David will work closely with you to create your dream planting scheme:

Stage 1 - Planting Design Proposal - David will create a bespoke design concept for your planting scheme which meets your style and aesthetic. Whether you are looking for a modern design, cottage style, naturalistic flowing feeling, David will deliver a bespoke design for you. This will be presented to you in an A3 presentation which will include the planting design inspiration, plant selection recommendation, mood boards, and basic 3D images so you can visualise the design.

Stage 2 - Detailed Planting Design - the design proposal is translated into a planting design. David will carefully use the plant selection to create a beautiful design for your garden. The area will be designed in line with the overall concept to create a beautiful planting scheme. You will receive a planting collage, planting plan, plant schedule and a garden maintenance & upkeep plan.

Stage 3 - Plant Quotation & Planting - David has relationships with several professional nurseries who will be asked to quote to supply your plants at Trade prices. These prices are passed directly onto you which means you are able to take advantage of prices which are, on average, -50% lower than a traditional garden centre.

We can help source gardeners who can plant your garden or you may already know people capable of doing this for you.

We usually insist on laying out the design to ensure it is accurate and work alongside your gardener or contractor to ensure the planting is to the required standard.

Many clients want to unlock the potential of their garden but do not have the time or finances to undertake a comprehensive garden re-design right now. They want to have a clear goal in mind. Developing a masterplan for your garden enables you to create a coherent garden design which you can implement at a pace that suits you. The masterplan is a coherent and full garden design plan which can be broken down into manageable elements but ensures, once completed, looks and feels like a coherent whole.

The masterplanning process is slightly different as the timescales you are working too are more relaxed:

Stage 1 - Outline Design Proposal - this is exactly the same as the Comprehensive Garden Design. David will create a design concept for your garden and create visuals to allow you to experience the garden.

Stage 2 - Detailed Garden Design - This stage will vary depending on how quickly you want to proceed. David can work within timescales producing detailed drawings for elements of the garden as and when you need them but they are always within the overall Masterplan concept ensuring no matter how long it takes you to build the garden, it will look like a coherent whole. This flexibility helps to manage the budget.

Stage 3 - Quotation & Build - this is likely to occur in phases for which David is available to support.
